FAQ
I have a special theme in mind for my sign and would like some custom graphics.
Please contact us before booking your sign order to confirm we carry a certain theme. It's always a good idea to have a 2nd or even 3rd backup theme in mind, as most yard card companies are unable to carry all themes. However, with enough advance notice (a minimum of 2 weeks) we can have custom graphics made for your sign, for you to keep! This would be provided at an additional cost.
When do you install and pickup signs?
We always install signs the evening before your event date. Our installation window is generally between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM the evening before, however times can vary slightly due to weather. We pick up the following evening during the same window, unless additional days have been purchased.
Are you able to take same-day or last minute orders?
We rarely take same day orders, as this business is a family side business. However, we do make some exceptions. Please send us a email to allstarsignskaty@gmail.com to request a same day order. We check email several times a day! We do regularly book last minutes orders, usually if you need the sign installed the following day or day after.
Am I responsible for doing any work for the sign installation or prior to installation?
Our installer handles the design, delivery, installation and pickup of your yard sign. You do not need to do anything prior to the installation or night of installation other than water your yard! You also do not need to be present on installation or pickup nights.
Am I allowed to move the yard sign around or add balloons?
We ask that you please do not move or add balloons to the yard sign while it's being rented. Moving the graphics around could potentially damage the color on the corrugated plastic pieces and balloons could bend or damage the signs. Damage to graphics is $10/per graphic and it will be taken from the card you used when placing the order.
What will I need to do in terms of watering my yard?
​​We ask that you begin watering a few days prior to installation night, to prep your yard for the stakes we will be using. We average between 80 to 100 stakes per sign, which is a lot of poking around the yard! We always send a watering schedule to you via email after you book a sign. Per our rental policy - if we've given you a watering schedule and are unable to install the sign on installation night due to lack of watering or not watering at all, we will promptly leave and only refund 50% of the cost of the sign back to your card. There are several hours of prep work we do in advance to design and stake graphics prior to installation night, plus the travel expense and mileage to and from the location.
Do you install anywhere at the house (if a house installation)?
We only install in the front yards of houses (no apartments or spaces that lack any grass). We will install in any grassy area for a business or school.
Can I mow or trim around the sign?
Please do not mow and suspend all lawn mowing services during sign rental days. Lawn equipment and weed eaters potentially damage our signs.
What if the weather is bad?
If there is hazardous weather that prevents us from installing or picking up your sign rental (severe thunderstorms, high winds, or freezing precipitation) we will attempt to reschedule your delivery or pickup for another day. If unable to reschedule, we'll provide a full refund. If winds gusts are over 25 mph on installation night for a 3-level sign, we will install our 2 level sign and refund the difference in cost to you.
